Um dos fatores que mais me fará perder na relação saudável e adequada com a vida, isso quer dizer, mais vitalizante e promissora é quando me abandono a prepotência — seja ela própria ou de terceiro, quando essa domina meu emocional, meus sentimentos. Nessa não haverá nunca o encontro com uma regência e segurança verdadeira e pertinente. Nela nunca há de fato empoderamento, engrandecimento, mas apenas os infectuosos: tirania e pavoneio, a confundir intimidação como conquista de respeito o que é enormemente contraproducente.

One of the factors that will most derail my healthy and appropriate relationship with life—that is, the most vitalizing and promising—is when I give in to arrogance—whether my own or someone else's—when it dominates my emotions and feelings. In this way, there will never be a true and meaningful sense of control and security. There is never truly empowerment or aggrandizement, but only the infectious: tyranny and strutting, confusing intimidation with gaining respect, which is enormously counterproductive.
