Alcançar efetiva grandeza, isto é aquela significativa, promissora, necessária e nisso duradoura não está focada em identificar ou supor o que é grandioso, mas centra-se naquilo que possibilita ser grandioso, e isso passa pela consciência de se reconhecer pequeno, interdependente biosférico e um constante aprendiz, e não se deixar afundar na inata ignorância; num puro subjetivismo reativo, narcísico e fantasista, que recusa dialogar respeitosamente com os outros seres, com a realidade biosférica, antes, porém, na postura presunçosa os despreza, inferioriza, inimiza; explora e agride. Quer insensatamente reger e não ser regido pelo que faz o fenômeno vida acontecer.

Achieving true greatness—meaning meaningful, promising, necessary, and lasting—is not focused on identifying or assuming what is great, but rather on what makes greatness possible. This involves the awareness of recognizing oneself as small, biospherically interdependent, and a constant learner, and not allowing oneself to sink into innate ignorance—into a pure reactive, narcissistic, and fanciful subjectivism that refuses to respectfully dialogue with other beings, with biospheric reality. Instead, however, in a presumptuous posture, it despises, demeans, and opposes them; it exploits and attacks them. It senselessly seeks to govern, rather than be governed by, that which makes the phenomenon of life happen.
