Estar bem preparado para qualquer coisa que virá imprevistamente e nisso ser bem acolhido, bem-sucedido passa por estar cultivando em mim a disposição por agir, por estar ajudando, por estar sendo útil e nunca a estar passivo, esperando ajuda, esperando ser servido; sendo um aproveitador, um parasitoide. Nunca a estar desatento, ignorando ou desprezando, mas estar esclarecido fundamentadamente sobre o que acontece, as necessidades vitais postas no entorno, no outro ser, isto quer dizer: não alheado a realidade, aliciado por fantasia, por regalias, por insustentáveis e insaciáveis satisfações puramente subjetivistas — pela ignorância, numa reativa fuga onírica e seus caprichos improvidentes, construtores apenas de alegrias ilusórias enquanto destrutora da real possibilidade sustentável de alegrias vitais.

Being well prepared for anything that may come unexpectedly, and being welcomed and successful in it, involves cultivating within myself the willingness to act, to help, to be useful, and never to be passive, waiting for help, waiting to be served; being a freeloader, a parasitoid. Never to be inattentive, ignoring, or despising, but to be fundamentally enlightened about what is happening, the vital needs posed in the environment, in the other being. This means: not oblivious to reality, enticed by fantasy, by perks, by unsustainable and insatiable, purely subjective satisfactions—by ignorance, in a reactive dreamlike escape and its improvised whims, builders only of illusory joys while destroying the real, sustainable possibility of vital joys.
